1. Introduction
Welcome to Cleaner Connect (“we”, “us”, “our”).
Cleaner Connect UK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16525376.
Our registered office address is 9-10 Cross Street, Preston, Lancashire, PR1 3LT.
Cleaner Connect operates an online directory service located at https://cleanerconnect.co.uk (“Website”), allowing individuals and businesses providing cleaning services (“Members”) to create profiles and connect with potential clients (“Clients”) seeking cleaning services.
By accessing or using the Website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Website.
2. Membership and Client Eligibility
For Members (Cleaners)
- Membership is open to individuals and businesses providing cleaning services who are 18 years of age or older.
- All Members must submit proof of valid insurance, proof of ID and at least one reference before being approved to appear on the platform.
- Cleaner Connect reserves the right to reject or remove any profile that fails to meet verification standards.
For Clients
- Clients must be 18 years of age or older.
- Clients may create a free account to search for cleaners and contact Members directly.
- Clients may also post job listings if they are unable to find a suitable provider in the search results. A client may post 5 listings free of charge and then £1.99 per subsequent listing.
- Cleaner Connect reserves the right to reject or remove any Client profile that breaches these Terms or engages in inappropriate conduct.
3. Fees and Payments
For Service Provider Members
- Standard Membership is £9.99 per month, payable via the payment methods offered at signup.
- All new service provider members are subject to a one-time joining fee of £39.99, which is non-refundable should the member fail verification.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled by the Member.
- Subscription payments are non-refundable, including partial months after cancellation.
- Upgraded or premium membership options may be made available for additional fees.
For Clients
- Job listings are charged at £1.99 per listing after the 5 free listings have been used.
- All payments are non-refundable
- All client profile accounts are free to sign up. Upon request, clients can ask to become verified members for a small one-time fee.
Failed Payment Policy
- If a monthly subscription renewal payment fails, the Member will be notified by email and asked to update their payment details and their account will be placed on hold.
- If payment is not successfully made within 7 days of the failure, the Member’s account will be suspended.
- If payment remains outstanding 14 days after the original failed payment, the Member’s account will be permanently removed and deleted from the platform.
- All profile content, including photos and posts, will be permanently deleted from our servers 30 days after a membership has been closed
- To rejoin Cleaner Connect after account deletion, a new application must be submitted and a one-time, non-refundable joining fee of £39.99 must be paid, and any outstanding arrears paid before the profile can go live on the site.
Cleaner Connect reserves the right to adjust all fees at any time with reasonable notice.
4. Cancellation and Termination
- Members may cancel their membership at any time through their account dashboard. Cancellation will take effect immediately or at the end of the current billing cycle as the member chooses.
- Cleaner Connect reserves the right to suspend or terminate any Member or Client account without notice if these Terms are violated or if conduct is deemed harmful to other users or to Cleaner Connect.
- No refunds will be provided for cancellation, suspension, or termination.
5. Member and Client Responsibilities
Responsibilities of Members
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date profile information.
- Provide truthful representations of services and qualifications.
- Respond to Client enquiries professionally and within reasonable timeframes.
- Use the platform solely for offering cleaning services.
Responsibilities of Clients
- Use the platform solely for searching for and hiring cleaning service providers.
- Provide truthful information during registration and verification.
- Post genuine, appropriate job listings.
- Treat Members with courtesy and respect.
- Refrain from soliciting non-cleaning related services or misrepresenting intentions.
6. Use of the Platform
- Cleaner Connect is a directory service only. We do not employ, recommend, endorse, or guarantee the work or conduct of any Member or Client.
- Clients and Members are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into any agreements.
- Any contracts or arrangements formed between Members and Clients are solely between those parties. Cleaner Connect is not a party to any contract.
7. Prohibited Activities
Members and Clients must not:
- Post false, misleading, or incomplete information
- Use the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Attempt to collect personal information about other users without consent
- Solicit services unrelated to cleaning
8. Intellectual Property
- All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Cleaner Connect and protected by applicable copyright laws.
- Members and Clients retain ownership of their own submitted content but grant Cleaner Connect a licence to display such content on the Website.
9. Limitation of Liability
- Cleaner Connect accepts no liability for any loss, injury, or damages arising from the use of the Website or from interactions between Members and Clients.
- We do not guarantee the receipt of leads, job offers, income, or successful hire outcomes.
10. Changes to These Terms
- Cleaner Connect reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
- Members and Clients will be notified of significant changes by email or through their account dashboard.
- Continued use of the Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
